Sunflower Bakery & Cafe

Sunflower Bakery & Cafe is our breakfast & brunch favorite! We visit this delicious place often for breakfast. Besides their wonderful pastries and hot fresh bakery delights, they serve a very nice breakfast menu. We enjoy basic eggs and thick sliced bacon but there are many other fancier selections such as Eggs Benedict, Barbacoa Omelet, Chicken & Biscuits, Texas Crab Cakes and Eggs and a nice variety of coffees & so much more. Be sure to add it to your must do list. They are closed Tuesday.

Mosquito Cafe

The upscale eclectic menu has created a cult following among locals, nearby medical professionals and visitors enticed by the originality of the grilled, roasted, sauteed and steamed dishes and any others tired of hush puppies, po-boys and fried shrimp combos.

The Mosquito Cafe is open Tuesday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. There are both indoor (non-smoking) and patio choices available.

We adore this morning making coffee & breakfast with the sea breeze flowing through the unit of the condo during wake up to this every morning. We plan to grill on the beach today. My family (myself, husband and 3 year old daughter) absolutely loved Donna’s Hello Sunshine condo! We are from Houston and love to get away to the beach when we can. This was by far the best place we have stayed in, and we will definitely be back in one if Donna’s placed. Such a nice warm honest place. Donna our host, was so responsive and helpful with ever communication. Everything was spotless and kitchen was great to cook in. Great easy walk to the beach and great pools. We even came when it was a cold front (40s and windy) and had a blast! Thank you Donna for your having us!
